Tanya's Riding Lessons

Tanya has recently started to take riding lessons at the Hunters Hall stables, Rainham, Essex.
Below are some photos of her at her first lesson without the leading rein.

All ready to start the lesson, school helmet on the head and yellow class ticket in hand.

Next step is to be assigned a horse!!

Now the horse for the class has been assigned.

Today's horse is "Hadleigh" - a placid Chestnut stallion

Hadleigh being lead to the mounting block (he's too tall for Tanya to mount from the ground!!)

Mounted up and ready for the indoor riding school.

Unfortunately I couldn't take any pictures of the lesson as the flash on the camera might have startled the horses!)

Checking the stirrup lengths prior to the lesson starting.

Class tutor is standing to the extreme right of the picture.

All ready for the lesson! As this is the very first lesson without a leading rein the young lady beside Hadleighs head has been assigned to walk beside the pair during the lesson - just in case !!
Returning from the lesson 30 minutes later. Only problems encountered were a difference opinion between Tanya and Hadleigh over the concept of halting !!

Next item will be a pair of boots from Mummy & Daddy...
